Looks great.....but opens in slow motion. No "SHWACK" at all when opening. Just doesn't feel right. Wish I would've just got another Kalishnakov.

I'm a Boker automatic knife fan because you just can't beat the cost to quality ratio and their functional reliability. I recommend them whenever the subject of affordable, high quality automatic conversion knives comes up. I've seen some negative reviews, which is to be expected with anything, but I've never experienced a single problem with any of the Boker knives I've bought throughout the years. Whether it's the full size or the mini version, my Boker knives have never failed to perform. While searching for Boker automatics several years ago, I came across this knife and I wanted it for my collection so I finally bought one to put it in my display case along side my Boker Magnum black automatic, half serrated "Tanto" tip model. Upon close inspection I found that it definitely has the same great qualities as the Tanto model with its smooth action, clean lines, high quality finishing, symmetrical grinds, attention to detail and overall comfortable feel. I appreciate the drop point, recurved bead blasted blade and the nice, long swedge. As I always do when I buy new and\or used knives, I checked all the screws and the Torx head screws on this model were tight. It came hair shaving sharp right out of the box, as one would expect with any knife. It opens fast with authority and locks up good and tight. There is absolutely no blade play (if there is any side to side blade play or some develops after use, simply tighten the Torx head pivot screw just a bit). The blade centering is spot on. The pocket clip is strong and clips the knife tip-own inside the pocket very securely. This knife is by far one the best knives in its class (the Boker Magnum class), and well worth the minimal cost.
Very tough to beat!

This automatic has been with me for a couple of months now, and I am sold! Great to look at, not flimsy, quick opening, almost got away from me! Flush button is perfect. No chance of misfire. And for this price point? Out of bounds! Gonna get some for my girls! Super value!
Buy one. Or two.

I bought this as a Christmas present ,thinking inexpensive trinket. Wrong. The blade shaved arm hair out of the box, and the fit and finish are suitable for a knife that sells for twice the price. The button is a close fit in its recess, but it will just get better with time and should keep things feeling new for years. Blade opens with authority and locks up tight. I'll be buying one for myself next.

I bought this knife for a "daily carry" as I enjoyed the smooth featured handle and blade length. Normally, I lean toward the Tanto blade for the often tough cutting jobs I perform. Also, I tend to favor the half-serrated blade for the cutting tasks I demand of my tools. In this case however, I needed neither on the blade and contrary to my natural tendacies, elected for the full-length cutting edge, often found in many uses such as box break-down, tape cutting, lanyard cutting (550 parachute cord) and the like. I enjoy the blade length, full cutting features without serrated blade interruptions, the overall knife weight and aesthetic appeal of the knife's handle should I open it in a civilian setting; I do not require the extra ridge grip as found for example on the Kalishnikov 74 series blades but I do appreciate the ridges on the handle that facilitate cleaning the knife after messy work. Overall, I give this a 7.5 out of 10; the cost is very reasonable (you'd be hard pressed to find one of these at this cost, with this quality and of course, Automatic Opening!!) Enjoy your equipment safely! --- Captain Davis
