Description

This is another awesome stainless steel stiletto from the great country of Italy. It's a massive 13" when open and the acrylic handle is a very cool-looking rosewood with brass hardware. The knife fires automatically and there is a safety to prevent accidental opening. This Italian made knife has a stainless steel bolster that slides to close the blade with ease.

I like this knife. I REALLY like this knife! It's an overall excellent value for the money...comes with genuine wood scales, sturdy rivets holding things together, and robust bolsters. It lacks the high polish of my Frank B and SKM brands, but being well fitted, it wouldn't take much to bring it to the same level of finish, but that's not the point of this knife. The point is it's built for real use - everyday carry if you please. The safety is smooth with no binding, button release is clean, and the blade is propelled out and around by a powerful, round-wire leaf spring. The spring is anchored in the lower portion of the frame spacer and locked in by a brass pin through the body. This makes spring replacement fast and easy should the highly durable, round-wire spring ever break or loose power, and round wire for such springs is easily sourced at hardware stores, building stores, gun and gunsmithing stores. This is a back lock design, using the single large leaf to power the blade and the locking arm. The bolsters are tight, brass liners are only slightly irregular, and the blade is aligned with the handle when extended.
I prefer bayonet blades, but the dagger is an interesting change of pace. It came "pretty sharp" and easily brought to razor sharpness with a few strokes on a fine stone.
I oiled it up, worked all the parts, let the oil penetrate into all the nooks and crannies, then handled with it paper towels until the excess was removed and the knife is slick, fast, and reliable.
