Amazing OTF for the price

Great little EDC blade. 440A is not a fancy steel by any means, but it holds a decent age and is extremely easy to sharpen. The action is reliable and snappy: never had a misfire. The sound it makes is also super satisfying. Just one flaw, make sure that you loctite the screws because the vibration from constantly deploying the mechanism will cause them to back out. Overall, best OTF you can get for under $100. Maybe even under $200. It's that good.

This is a great knife, long sharp blade. As with others the "Copper" inlay was no longer attached. That was ok since I decided to add a patina to the Copper. After a half day of soaking the insert just turned out a bit cleaner. I believe the insert is probably an anodized alloy. The positive is that it is hard and doesn't scratch easily. The double action is very stiff for both opening and closing but I would rather have that than loose. Again, love the knife, very well constructed.

I’m liking this otf da f16! The action is good, not a lot of bladeplay, it seems very well constructed, blade is fairly sharp, not much rattling at all. Made in Italy! The blade is a bit more narrow than I was expecting, but that’s ok I guess. I’m used to the Lightning’s, which are awesome also!

Received my AKC F16 in the post today and discovered that the copper insert plate was not attached. I suspect you will also find this to be the case when you get yours :-) . However, I just cleaned the dried glue off of the handle, which turned this knife from a $39.00 knife, into a $49.00 knife (The black model sells for $10.00 more). I like the knife better in black without the insert so I decided to keep it in black, as the more expensive model :-). Terrific look and feel and a solid 'snap' in deployment. Snaps out with the same crisp sound as my Lightning. Small blade wiggle but very sharp out of the box. Very light in weight and slim, which makes it easy to carry and stow in your pocket. Great buy. Grab one while you can and convert your $39.00 AFC into a $49.00 F-16. I think you will like this model. (One star less for the pocket clip, which is a little heavy for this OTF).
