really nice for the price, really nice at regular price. bigger than expected, but carries nicely in the pocket. quite substantial, and well built. action is very quick and locks up well. opens almost as forcefully as a Frank Beltram stiletto, and i think it is faster than a Frank B, and zero bladeplay. i have been looking at these but hesitated because i dont like to spend over 40 bucks for an automatic unless its really nice like a Frank B. this is worth every cent and more. get one, you will be glad you did!

I love this knife. deploys quick, well made.
looks great and perfect for every day carry, however, the belt clip should be on the other side. when wearing this at work, The release button is on the outside exposing the button. The knife opens while at work. I am a meat cutter and am always moving and bending and lifting..

I researched several knives before settling on the AKC X-treme Ace. I wanted a tough, dependable, knife that would be easily carried, in my front pocket, and easily deployed, with one hand, if the need ever arose. As a police officer, an automatic is perfectly legal in my state. In this knife I found the right size, functionality, and price! There are better knives on the market, but I challenge you to find one even close to this quality for less than $200. It has a very solid feel to it and is very comfortable in your hand. It deploys with a press of a button, with your thumb. It is not hard to press, but it requires enough pressure to keep it from deploying, accidentally, in your pocket. It swings out fast enough to spark that juvenile testosterone thrill all of us can relate to. The blade length is very respectable and the metal sharpens, and holds an edge, well. I am very pleased with my purchase and intend on making the AKC F16 OTF my next knife!

The fit and finish is really impressive. Deployment is a little sticky, but I'm sure it will smooth out as it breaks in. Blade is thinish, but sharp, pointy, and centered. The blade is between 3.5 and 3.75. The black finish is not cheap paint, and should hold up. Worth the money.. I like it!
