The EVO is an excellent offering from AKC that brings quality at an accessible price point. The knife features a large stepped thumb slide, an anodized aluminum handle, and an AUS-8 blade. It has addicting, reliable action and solid lockup with minimal play. The blade shoots out straight with a wicked sharp edge.

The blade has minimal play when extended. The red anodized knife body is nicely finished.
The only reason I gave this knife 4 stars is due to the curved finger guard at the front of the knife. The tips of that curved area are actually pointed and poke your leg while in your pocket. I plan to sand or file the tips after the knife gets a few scratches on it as I would hate to do this to a brand new knife. I hope the mfg fixes this small flaw. I do recommend this knife.
