The handle is textured for improved grip with a pocket clip for carrying comfort. Using the side mounted slide button will activate the double-action automatic feature for lightning fast blade deployment. A pommel glass breaker finishes off the tactical design.

Out of the package this knife is noticeably heavy, yet also very solid feeling. The detail and finish on the handle is very good with no obvious blemishes and the two handle halves mate properly. The red painted button, pocket clip, and glass breaker give the knife an attractive, festive tough. The "firing" button requires a firm, strong push forward, which is rewarded by the blade snapping open with a solid thunk. The "wiggle test" (for whatever value) reveals the blade has virtually no lateral movement and just a hint of vertical. The blade feels quite solid and looks to be classic 440C stainless which is a high-quality "surgical steel" ideal for general used knives. The red paint on the blade is quite attractive, but on one side just above the edge bevel, the paint has a bad spot where it looks crinkled...a 1.5 cm oval. The non-painted part of the blade is brushed stainless and the flats look even, crisp and clean.
Pulling the firing button back also requires a strong press, again rewarded by the blade snapping back inside the handle.
This knife certainly looks solid enough for defensive carry, and the sight and sound of the blade deploying would probably intimidate a potential attacker.
For the money, this is solid, 5-star buy without question and needs no justification.
