I have exclusively started buying only OTF knives. Once you own a nice one, it’s hard to carry anything else and this is a NICE one! The Atomic Defender Large is a big knife with really smooth and reliable action. This is my second one in the Large size and I have 3 of the medium size. Great knife, razor sharp and reliable.

This is my first OTF knife. Out of the box, the action is very firm and loud, especially closing it. But the action also is fast, reliable, smooth and dependable. I work in a warehouse and the gloved one-handed access is a real time saver to cut through rope, plastic wrap, banding. The black finish on the button started to wear after one day of use but it makes it look (more) badass. I HIGHLY recommend - if you can't afford the Kalashnikov OTF this is the one to buy! I got the tanto blade and it is super sharp, superb for daily work. Really like this knife and thinking of buying like five more to keep in my trucks and trailers - this is a real deal daily carry.

It is a very nice knife, but you most certainly get what you pay for. Within 2 days of owning, some of the pain began to chip off of the slide button and parts of the knife. While I am very hard on my knives, I'm not that hard, that quickly. I also noticed that the 2 pieces that make the body were not a 100% exact fit. Nonetheless, I do enjoy the knife and it is still a great piece. Will update should anything change. As of now, would most certainly purchase again.
