The handle is made from 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum with a firing button and safety lock on the front of the handle. A deep carry pocket clip finishes off the stellar EDC design.

Seems like a really well built knife but the spring is very weak, barely launches.

Just purchased my Bear Ops Black Bold Action III Auto. Top flight EDC! Swift opener. Solid build, with extremely sharp blade and point. Easy blade lock. Good clip, easy to get out of the jeans pocket -- you won't lose it. I have a lot of knives; this is one of my best!

I have many knives dating back to 1968 when I bought an auto Italian stiletto knife in Mexico. Works as well today as when I bought it. This side opening knife is the finest I've seen, or used, in many years. Very well made, very inexpensive when you consider the other side action autos. I will buy a couple more Bear Ops for storage.

Well, I've been collecting automatic knives (Mostly Italian) for 25yrs. Now I have quite a few new autos from Boker , H&K , S&W ,Gerber etc. I thought I'd seen the best worst OTF & plunger lock, I've spent more but decided to take one more shot on this Bear auto, and was very impressed. Made in USA the quality surpassed the Gerber and others in the same style and higher price!! You won't be disappointed with this beauty, there's nothing I can say to pick this super high quality piece apart, and I've looked at it from every angle. Enjoy !!!
