Although a fan of CRKT knives, I must say that I am disappointed with this knife. I loved the design, the thin shape, and the overall compact size of it. However, the knife's sharpening degree is set at a degree that is almost impossible to reproduce or to sharpen. The knife arrived somewhat sharp, but not as sharp as I am accustomed to. All of my sharpening kits (Gatco, Lansky, and an unnamed misc system) have 30 degrees as their highest. This knife arrived significantly "steeper". As usual, if a knife arrives not as sharp as I want, I will always re-sharpen the new knife. The angle of this blade is impossible to replicate. So you basically dull the knife attempting to sharpen it and must begin at the very beginning. It took 3 full sharpening sessions to reshape the blade but then it could not be made very sharp. I own 15-20 CRKT knives and have been very happy with each, but this one does NOT get my love or respect. It will go in one of my collection cases, never to be brought out to carry, which is sad as I really did love the thin, very simple, less is more design.
