Firecracker Mini Black D/A OTF Automatic Knife - Tanto Two-Tone Plain

Half expected this knife to be toy quality like the switchblade combs I used to get as a kid but this is a HIGH QUALITY WEAPON/TOOL. Yes, it's heavy, but that's what quality feels like (remember when cars were made of metal). The action is a bit stiff but always is on a quality automatic knife, it'll break in like a new baseball glove does. Almost NO play on the blade when fully extended. They warn that it is a 'budget OTF knife' and say it'll occasionally misfire but I purposely sat here and actuated the knife out 100 times and in 100 times and ZERO misfires, super powerful and smooth action. Has a safety feature so if there is anything in front of it, the blade will bounce back into the handle, just needs to be pulled out manually to be reset. Best $11 I've ever spent. Now that I've tried the mini, I have several of the Titan models on my wish list I will be buying based on the quality and speed of this purchase (ordered on Friday, received on Monday). Knockoff or not, painted or not, for $11 I defy you to find a better knife. Oh, and I bought 2 so I would know it's not a fluke and BOTH work exactly the same and are the same quality. For those that reviewed it poorly because it is heavy or painted, it says the approximate weight in the description and says it has a "black finished handle". Finished usually means painted.

This version of the Firecracker is a little different, but in my opinion better.
First, it has a pocket clip with a solid 3 point attachment. It has almost no up & down blade play and very little side to side play unlike the regular Firecracker. There is no button rattle in the open or closed position unlike the regular version.
I also like that it's slightly heavier and feels more solid. I love the Tanto blade, and the action is strong.

The only down side is it's painted like the Lightning OTFs, but it is well done and if it chips you can just touch it up with a Sharpie. It also wasn't very sharp out of the box but that's an easy fix.

At this price, you get more than your money's worth.

just arrived today and it is twice as have as my other Firecracker. I think they are steel now as that are also painted not anodized

Love the size and convenience of a belt clip instead of a keychain hole. Plan on buying more.

The handle is just painted metal, packaging was very different from the other firecracker knife I ordered, from my understanding firecrackers are anodized aluminum, knockoffs are painted.
