This was my 1st time ordering from Bladeplay. They sent me what I wanted (special request), and shipped it right away, so a big thank you to Bladeplay. Now if it wasn't for a delay in the postal shipping, I would have got my package sooner. I know this knife was hand assembled, and there are flaws. My two main gripes are: the swivel bolster is not flush with the scale, so the scale has got a very rough edge, and on the back scale, near the pin down by the end bolster, is a crack in the scale. I'm just really happy to get the knife. I would purchase from Bladeplay again. Update Oct. 8 2018, I was able to sand the scale to make it smoother, and the crack or whatever could have been a natural flaw, I'm not really sure. Anyway, it's a decent knife.
Not what I was expecting

I just got this knife in the mail after anxiously waiting for a week. My first impressions aren't that great. It took some working and oiling to get the lock to move. I then noticed that the back spine of the knife has a slight curve to it, it almost looks like that purposely pryed up at the point the blade lock makes contact with the blade. I have read the reviews that this is a "handmade" knife, but there are some things that I really feel were just done poorly. The left side blade scale seems unfinished at the top and you can see milling done into the top.

I had considered returning it but I figure at this point I will just keep it. It does have some character, a good weight, and is a unique type of knife. I think honestly if I had wanted something nicer I should have been at least looking in the 200 dollar range. All this being said I will say I still love shopping at both BladeHQ and now Bladeplay, I think they have a lot of great products.
