OK knife with issues

There was no yellow on the scales only black and white. And the knife was almost impossible to open. I was able to fix this by rounding off the corners on the blade where it contacts the locking spring, using a dremel and a diamond file. The lanyard bale was also stuck until I loosened it up with exercise. These are obviously mass produced and not inspected very well,
but with a little work can be made useful. The blade is plenty sharp so use caution.

Knife should have stainless steel bolsters per picture and description, but mine has brass(?) bolsters. Also, the blade is so difficult to open that I initially thought it had some sort of safety mechanism. I'm sure it will loosen up over time, but be prepared for that.

The title is misleading - this knife does NOT have a horn scales on the handle, it is a polymer, read the description carefully.

PROS - The knife did arrive sharp and is attractive for a knife of this price point.

The blade is SUPER TIGHT!

CONS

The blade is SUPER TIGHT!

The knife is VERY hard to open and close even after oiling and working the blade back and forth several times.

So hard to open and close it presents a safety issue.

The bottom clip is practically stuck in place I was afraid to move it back and forth for fear of breaking it.

The knife was purchased for $24.99 and is worth that on a good day I suppose but if I had been able to examine the knife before purchasing I would have not have purchased it.

Tempted to leave this knife a 1 star rating instead of a 3 because of the way it was listed which is very misleading.

Sharp and stylish Italian EDC. Fantastic knife for the price! Definitely Italian handmade quality! May not have the fit/finish of many mass production knives, but those knives don't have the character this one does. The imitation buffalo horn handle scales are very well done and look just like real horn to me.

I really couldn't have written a better review than Conner, the first reviewer did, but maybe it'll help someone who wants more than one review before deciding on getting one.

First off, Conner is correct...this is the sharpest dang knife out of the box I've ever encountered! It is, quite literally, as sharp as a razor blade, and you must be very careful with this one when using it, especially when you close it. DO NOT get your fingers in the way when it starts to snap shut, or you will have a serious injury to your finger, probably a cut to the bone, because the closing spring is very strong. I tried the paper cut thing described before, and it is also just as he said. It goes through paper, and you don't have to hold the paper tight or anything. Just slices as soon as it touches something.

Also, as stated, the blade is extremely tight, and is a bit difficult to open. Be very careful when opening that your hand does not slip under the blade. And be careful when you go to close it as well. Just keep everything away from that dang blade, much more so than you would your other knives. You won't get a second chance. Very well put together, tight, usable, and very thin in your pocket ... a great EDC knife, and I have always liked the little ring at the end so you can hang it from your belt or anything with a clip on it. And yes, the handle material is varied in color, just like the real horn of which it is a copy. This is a really good and effective tool, handmade I think, and the price is amazing for something made in Italy. Grab a couple, you won't regret it unless you cut yourself.

This knife is INSANELY sharp! I dont know if the fact that its a wide blade, has anything to due with how good it cuts, but regardless, it slices paper with the slightest effort and you dont have to find that “sweet spot” of the edge, where it cuts effortlessly, it just slices effortlessly at any angle to touch it to the paper with. As soon as you touch the paper its slices! So its sharp, and its beautiful. Its a classic italian style. The picture displayed it as a faux horn material thats of white color, and mine was, but only on one side. The other side was 100% black faux horn. Im fine with that, it doesn’t matter to me. One side is black, and the other side is half black and half like the picture here. Its a great knofe and pretty cheap. It also is really hard to open because its insanely tight. It doesn’t have a locking mechanism, but its so damn tight and stiff, it feels as if its got a lockback on it for sure. If yo have sweaty hands, no finger nails, and need to open this knife in a panic situation, its not gonna be the smoothest action hahah. Even when my hands are dry, sometimes i have trouble opening it, but whatever, its a sick knife. i have my lever lock stiletto with me for emergencies so its fine
Unusable

This knife looks nice, but is nearly impossible to open. I had to pry the blade out using both hands, and it was equally as hard to close. Clip at the bottom did not pivot at all and was stuck in place pointing straight up. Handle also felt very cheap. Maybe I just got a defective unit.
