I was skeptical when I saw reviews because I have a similar-looking knife of a different brand with a zinc handle that rattles like crazy, has an extremely long-traveling and stiff switch (it’s not a button), and doesn’t take or hold an edge. I also know it’s common for many guys who buy junk to swear it’s the greatest just to save face. This one lives up to the hype! Lightweight aluminum handle. Medium resistance and travel-length switch. Shaving-sharp blade and no rattle! Worth buying!

This is my second Lightning Elite. The first one I purchased was when they first came out, it went into the trash can after a week of fiddling with it trying to get it even half way reliable. This second one I purchased is quite amazing for good. Works great, have had it two weeks and its now starting to get dirty/misfire every so often. The edge was okay out of the box (Sharp but not scary sharp), the angle was horribly uneven. Reprofiled it to a 40 degree angle and its like a razor now. Not sure on the steel, does take a edge quick and holds it a fair amount of time. Blown it out with compressed air and floated with Rem oil and its back to having better than out the box reliability. Recommend just for the fun and fidgeting factor, also makes decent EDC.
