I had been looking at this for awhile, and when they marked down the yellow ones, I got one. Very strong springs (plural). It has TWO leaf springs side by side, and opens really strong. I've never seen one made this way, but it seems to be a good idea, b/c if one breaks, the auto function will still work. The knife is heavy (over 1/4 pound) and solid, and the blade was nice and sharp. I've opened it dozens of times, and nothing close to a misfire or no-lock has happened. There is also ZERO play in the blade, side to side, or back and forth. Everything is super tight on this one.
This knife is made in the Czech Republic, and is put together with rivets, so hopefully it will still last. Also, one thing you need to know about this knife is that the blade release for the lever lock is reversed from other lever lock knives, meaning that you have to push the lever FORWARD towards the front of the knife rather than pull back like on other lever locks. It's not really awkward at all UNLESS you happen to be left handed. I'm not, but I have tried opening it that way, and it's quite difficult using your left hand.
It's my new favorite knife, and when I went back to order another yellow one, they were out. Figures. I'll buy another one if the price goes back to $69.
