Description

Interested in Italian stilettos but put off by the high price? The Milano is an excellent alternative. Using traditional styles and materials, the Milano looks just like the Italian automatics you've seen before. It has a bayonet blade, a push button release and sliding safety on the handle. The handle scales are made of green and gold swirled pearlex and are highlighted by the brass pins and liners in the handle. The action is swift and the lock up is secure. It comes with a black nylon carry case to keep it safe. This is a cost effective and beautiful way to start your own collection.

Great action and feel good weight. Lock release needs to lift a wee bit higher so releasing and closing requires break in. Overall cant go wrong for the money.

Well Made The Only issue is that it sometimes doesn't click closed but for the price can't go wrong.
Don’t expect it to work out of the box

I got 3 of this one, all had/have issues.

1: Works wonderfully, great action, strong spring and good lockup with a minimal of blade play, but it’s crooked. The blade locks open at an angle, it’s a switchblade banana. I can’t fix it, it’s going to get returned.

2: very strong spring and a great lockup witha minimal of blade play, but VERY beavy button, even after oiling it is very stiff, yet the button rattles at the same time. At first I thought this one was completely broken, as I couldn’t get it to open at all. I think this one may break in over time.

3: Great action and a good lock up with a minimal of blade play, but a very weak spring. At first it would not open all the way without help, it would either open only part way, or I would have to hold the bolster lock open as I pressed the button. After heavy oiling, break in, and prying on the lock bar to try and loosen it up it finally works reliably, but the spring still feels very soft, not sure I would trust this knife, but at least it works, now.

On the plus side, the handle scales look nicer than I thought and the feel solid, though a bit light for their size.

Basicaly it appears the factory has zero consistency and horrible quality control. If you like to fiddle around to make things work, and don’t need these for serious work, than they are a great deal, but if you expect it to just work out of the box or be something to use for daily carry or reliable utility? Forget it, buy something else.
I expected a bit better

Out of the box, the deployment is not great. The button is hard to depress and will occasionally stick. This will cause you to shift your grip - and, of course, that's when it will decide to deploy. I have already dropped it once because of this. The lock-up is also not great - the pin seems to be just slightly too far forward, which also makes the swivel bolster harder than it should be. Finally, getting the blade reset into the handle is also hit & miss and you have to be careful that the blade doesn't spring back if it doesn't catch. All-in-all, it's a cheap Chinese stiletto. I was hoping for a bargain, but I got what I paid for.

I think this has been the best deal I've found in autos...after I got one I almost immediately ordered another. The action needed soaking in dishwashing detergent to get the factory grease out of it, but after a good cleaning and a few hits of wd40, it fires like a champ. My second one came sharpened and the swirl patterns on both are outstanding. There is almost zero looseness in the pins, the chrome is virgin, its a great deal.

I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of this knife. I use to carry a real Italian stiletto 60 years ago in my miss spent youth. Since then I have become a NASA prototyper and a connoisseur of fine knives. I have even forged and hardened a few myself from 4142 tool steel.
This knife is, if anything, better made than the original ones made in Italy. The blade is defiantly better at holding an edge. I am amazed, considering the price. I am totally satisfied and will look no further or pay more for this type of knife. I will buy a few variations in style and size if they come back in stock.
