A cheaper OTF, I guess because the handle body is made of heavy steel. And that's the keyword: Heavy. This would have been a real winner if it was made of lighter aluminum. As it is, it's just a heavy lug in your hand and pocket. The knife blade is well machined and beautifully done. The action is heavy too - really a hard press to engage and harder to retract. I bought this along with a Lightning OTF and the Lightning is the clear winner. You'll pay a little more, but it'll be worth it. The bottom line is that this Defender is reliable; works every time.
