Big heavy knife also very sharp. You could throw this at someone and do damage without it being open.
The button was so hard to push it hurt my thumb.
Easy fix opened it took out the spring and stretched it. Put it back together. And the button still hurts my thumb.
The factory need to install a weaker spring so it doesn't hurt to fire it.
Stretching it did help but not enough in my opinion I still knife and would even buy another.
It's very well made and has no wobble to the blade.
The whole knife has no markings whatsoever so you can't tell what company made this knife or what types of Steel was used.
This knife was made for a big man and I've always been told I have very strong big hands.
Buy it because of the price. Mine is the Tanto blade.
When you stretch the Springs don't overstretch them or the blade won't fire out.
I found stretching the Springs helps with any button that's hard to push.

Bad-Ass...replaced my Lightnings...

I'm surprised these have not over-taken the Lightning OTF's as the most popular affordable DA's. This was the first of the Atomics that I ordered, and man, I was hooked right away.

They are HEAVY and heavy duty. They weigh over half a pound, which might explain why the Lightning is still more popular, but I like the weight, and the extra large size of it.

Blades on all mine came sharp, and the action is flawless on all mine, as well. I have never had one of mine misfire, which cannot be said of my Lightnings, even though I really like those as well. They are well-made, and are very usable...not a toy like some other less expensive OTF's.

The finish comes off pretty easily, and I don't know why anyone complains about this. Just spray paint it...it works great. You can use whatever color you want, which is why I never even look at what color the knife is, b/c if I don't like it, I paint it. Wait for the unpopular colors to go on sale (Zombie Green for the Lightnings) and then when it comes in, spray it whatever color you prefer.

Be sure when you get these that you remove each screw from the handle individually and put a SMALL amount of lock-tite on the threads. Don't put enough that it's running off the threads and dripping down, or you'll lock the blade into place when you put the screws back in. I made this mistake 3 times. The liquid will run into the handle and gum up the blade/spring action. Just use a little on each screw. If you don't do this, the 2 handle pieces come loose and start slopping around after a few dozen firings of the blade. so just lock-tite it up as soon as you get it, and you won't have any problems. That's really the only issue I've ever had, and it's so minor, it doesn't bother me at all.
