I wanted to leave a review since there wasn’t one cause it’s such a well-made knife. I have had mine for a few months now and it is some of the hardest steel I’ve ever used, still haven’t had to re-sharpen because of that.
The micarta feels great and has some grab to it, some cheaper brands it feels and looks like cheap plastic.. not here. Although this variant doesn’t have the hollow grind of the standard Elementum l, the high flat grind makes this version have a tougher and stronger blade. The standoffs are great quality and so are the liners, arguably the most important aspect as it’s what’s holding the knife together. It’s my go-to carry but I took the clip off as it’s kinda big for the overall size of this knife.
This thing is strong, I’d imagine it would work for any small task you could ever think up. D2 can rust so you need to take care of it (dry it off if it gets wet) but other than that.. perfection. I have the 14c28n variant as well (button-lock) and much prefer that steel but D2 is harder tool steel, just can’t get as sharp.
