It has a tan aluminum handle with notched grooves for added grip security. The knife offers snappy spring assisted opening action with a push of the thumb slide. A lock at the top of the handle conveniently releases the blade for manual closing. A safety switch keeps the blade secure in the closed position until ready for use. Item includes a stainless steel pocket clip for tip-down carry.

Solid Design Almost Better than SA-OTF!

M&W has a hit with this knife! It functions almost identically to a single-action OTF with the button pushing the blade just a bit prior to the spring taking over. Blade retraction is identical to other SA designs. The advantage is this knife can be purchased and carried in more places than a true SA-OTF and it is of high quality construction.
A previous reviewer seemed disappointed to learn the knife isn't a DOUBLE-ACTION OTF, but from a durability and strength aspect, SA designs have much stronger blade-to-handle interface.

A backward push of the release button does not reset the blade into the handle....you must manually press another blade release button and then push the blade back into the handle....very clumsy design.....
